About Spoonful of Kindness
Welcome to Spoonful of Kindness! My name is Ana, and I am the content creator, recipe developer, food photographer, videographer and writer here in this little corner of the internet I call my own.
I started Spoonful of Kindness back in 2016, about three years after I first started transitioning to a vegan lifestyle, mostly to share my attempts at veganising and healthifying my favourite desserts. This, along with my personal views and eating habits, slowly evolved into the website you see today, which includes hundreds of wholesome recipes, made with real ingredients, that are delicious, good for you and easy enough for anyone to make.
Here, you can easily find plant-based recipes for breakfast, dinner and desserts, as well as vegan pancakes, smoothies, salads, and more . But I also want Spoonful of Kindness to be a place where you can learn more about the vegan and vegetarian lifestyle, and feel inspired to live your best life.
To those who are only starting their vegan journey, I recommend checking out the resources section, where you can find comprehensive tutorials on how to make all the most popular vegan cooking substitutes, as well as articles and guides on going vegan.
If you're ready to dig a bit deeper, feel free to read my collection of articles on being kind, which focus on environmental issues, animal welfare, our physical health, mental and emotional well-being, and personal growth.
Spoonful of Kindness FAQs
Are all your recipes vegan?
All of the recipes are 100% vegetarian, with no alternatives offered. Most of them are also made with exclusively vegan ingredients. A number of older recipes will also include options for you to either go with dairy or non-dairy alternatives, while some recipes can be prepared with either flax eggs or chicken eggs. If I mention these substitutions as possible alternatives, it means the recipe has been tested several times with all the options included, unless stated otherwise.
Do I have to be vegan/vegetarian to enjoy these recipes?
Absolutely not! You are more than welcome here no matter what your food philosophy is. My hope is to inspire you to incorporate more fresh veggies, fruits and unprocessed foods into your life, without leaving you feeling deprived in any way.
How do you judge the nutrition value of your recipes?
If you scroll to the very bottom of the recipe, you can find the complete nutrition label for one serving of the recipe. This label is generated by WP Recipe Maker, which is integrated with the Spoonacular API.
However, please bear in mind that these values are based on the specific ingredients that I’m using. If you need very precise nutritional information, I suggest you use one of the online calorie analyzers such as verywell, happyforks or myfitnesspal, and specify the ingredients that you’ve used to make the recipe.
Can I post your recipe?
Please don’t share my full recipes or content without my prior consent. I know it sounds kind of harsh, but developing a recipe from scratch, testing and re-testing it, taking and editing pictures, and finally presenting everything in a way that you can easily find and benefit from requires a great amount of time and effort. Moreover, copying content word-for-word can have a negative effect on how my site appears in search engines.
However, I am deeply flattered if you wish to share my pictures or recipes that you’ve tried. You can do this without my prior consent, as long as you link back to that particular recipe or tag me on social media.
Are you on social media?
Yep! Follow along on Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest. You can also email me directly at [email protected], or comment on any of my posts if you have a specific question.
Are you open for collaborations?
Yes. If you have an idea of how we could work together, shoot me an email at [email protected]. You can find out more about my brand collaborations here.
